Research Interests: Molecular mechanisms of cortical development, Cortical Arealization throughout Embryonic Development

Vanna Giang is currently a 3rd year undergraduate student at UCLA, majoring in Psychobiology and minoring in Brain & Behavioral Health. Her work in the Bhaduri Lab is geared towards characterizing the different cell types that make up the developing human cortex. She is in the beginning stages of constructing a computational model of the developing human brain in those with neurodevelopmental disorders. Vanna is currently on a pre-medicine track, and hopes to pursue a medical degree with a neurology specialty. Outside of the lab, Vanna enjoys weightlifting, pilates, cooking, eating, and adventuring in nature with her friends!
