Research Interests: Molecular mechanisms of cortical development, especially thalamic influence on the formation of cortical regions
Rista White is a third year undergraduate student at UCLA, majoring in Cognitive Science and minoring in Biomedical Research. She is passionate about neuroscience and specifically interested in how early life experiences can rewire our brains. In the Bhaduri lab, she hopes to dive deeper into the world of neurodevelopment by examining how sensory input (via the thalamus) can impact cortical arealization during early gestation. In the future, she hopes to combine her fascination with the brain and love for art by pursuing academia and illustration. In her free time Rista can be found reading, running (slowly), surfing, or watercolor painting.
