Research Interests: Glioblastoma tumor microenvironment; Immune evasion strategies of glioblastoma

Matthew Li is an undergraduate at UCLA, majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Biomedical Research. Graduating in Spring 2025, Matt looks to pursue medical-scientist (MD/PhD) training in the future. He is passionate about neuroscience research and particularly, research about glioblastoma. In the lab, he is involved with developing an immunocompetent cortical organoid model to directly study the glioblastoma microenvironment in vitro. In addition, he wants to understand the immune evasion mechanisms of glioblastoma. In his free time, he loves to run, rock climb, play pickup basketball, listen to music, and watch Christopher Nolan movies.
