About
Research Interests: Molecular mechanisms of cortical development and sex-specific differences in brain development
Fatima Ambriz is an undergraduate student at CSU Fullerton, majoring in Biology with a concentration in Cell and Developmental Biology, and minoring in Anthropology. She is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate cortical development, with a particular focus on sex-specific differences in brain development. Previously, she conducted research in the Patel Lab at CSUF, where she investigated how dissociation methods during neuronal differentiation of iPSCs influence rosette formation and subsequent neuronal development in 2D culture. In her free time, Fatima enjoys spending time with her dog, working with plants, and exploring new coffee shops.
